550 pump always had a stainless liner, mixed flow pump.

Js300 was an engine based off KX 250 motocross engine. All components same as js440 with the exception of ignition and exhaust
Skis were never gel coat after 1973/74 they were Painted with Imron.
The JS 400 was 65bore 60 Stroke 398cc BN 38 carb
Start/stop buttons on dash tray
Aluminum cylinder.
Aluminum impeller
This motor used in WSAA and WSAB 73/74 models with Jacuzzi style pump
Hand laid fiberglass hull made in Japan.
Also used in 1976 model JS 400 which was made in Lincoln Nebraska with production starting in July 1975
1977 production 440 started in September 1977
Using SMC plastic hull.
New Aluminum cyl 436cc motor with larger crank diameter
68x65 bore aluminum cylinder and newer designed pump. Start stop buttons were moved to handlebars
